Church Activities for Adults
Ford's Lane offers many opportunities for adult fellowship beyond the services.
Coffee is served, amongst other times, at 10.45am on Sundays after the 9.45 Service. A time for meeting and making friends, welcoming visitors and generally having a family get-together.
There are many other opportunities for fellowship and prayer including:
- Meeting Point: for ladies, although with occasional open meetings for men also, on the first Monday of each month October to April at 8.00pm.
- Coffee and Chat: for older ladies, once a fortnight on Mondays at 10.30pm. See Noticeboard for specific dates.
- The Banner Group: meets informally to make banners, which are displayed in the Church.
- The Flower Rota: ladies take it in turn to produce a flower arrangement for the front of the Church and sometimes in the foyer.
- Men's Prayer Group: meets on a Tuesday morning in the Church Hall at 9.30am.
- Housegroups: there are six groups which meet in people's homes to study the Bible, pray and enjoy each other's company.
- Prayer Team: After our morning and evening services, people make themselves available at the front of the church for anyone who might wish to talk, listen and pray with them individually.
